Meet the Rees-Moggs comes to discovery+
- Fly-on-the-wall docu-series featuring Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg and family commissioned for discovery+ in the UK and Ireland
- Series to stream on discovery+ later this year
9am, Wednesday 10 July, London
Today, discovery+ UK and Ireland announces a brand-new series with former-MP Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg.
Meet The Rees Moggs, a five-part (5x60) docu-series produced by Optomen, will lift the lid on the man behind the public image.
With exclusive access, this fly-on-the-wall documentary series will be a never-before-seen look into his life at home in the 17th Century Somerset house where he lives with his wife and six children.
Following Rees-Mogg through the run up to the General Election and the aftermath that follows, the series which drops on discovery+ later this year will give viewers insight into the political figure who divides opinion as well as the husband and father at home.
Now, Jacob Rees-Mogg looks to what is next in the brand-new discovery+ series: “Animals, children, an election and a film crew. What could possibly go wrong? This everyday story of Somerset folk is fun to film but may be a bit more Fawlty Towers than Downton Abbey.”
Meet the Rees-Moggs will launch on discovery+ later this year. The series was commissioned by Charlotte Reid for discovery+ and exec-ed for Warner Bros. Discovery by Deirdre Dowling and Matt Reid. Nick Hornby is the Executive Producer for Optomen, an All3Media company.
