Saturday Cookbook is a brand new food magazine show, guaranteed to start the weekend in style. In each show, food loving home cook and mum Nadia Sawalha and top chef Mark Sargeant wake up the nation with a mouth-watering line up of food. Each show is packed full of flavour, fantastic recipes, and illuminating consumer content, to show the viewer how to get the very best out of their weekly food shop and cook quick, simple and tasty family meals. Forget fancy Michelin starred restaurant food, at the heart of every show are delicious recipes which are simple to make and that don’t cost the earth.

Fronting the show are actress , TV presenter and passionate home-cook Nadia Sawalha (former Celebrity Masterchef winner) and top chef Mark Sargeant who trained with the best in the business (he was Gordon Ramsay’s right hand man and Head Chef at the award winning Claridge’s restaurant). Mark loves to cook simple and surprising dishes, designed to inspire the viewer and get everyone cooking. In the kitchen he is joined by Nadia, who provides enthusiastic ingredient prepping and inquisitive questions about Mark’s cooking . Tips aimed at the cost conscious consumer are dispensed throughout the recipes and the show.

In each episode Nadia and Mark are joined by a guest chef and a foodie celebrity guest. In one of the recipe items – Guest Chef Challenge – Mark pits himself against that week’s guest chef, in a themed lightly competitive cook off. This not only proves a fun test of the chefs’ adaptability and inventiveness, it also provides another opportunity for Mark to share his favourite culinary tips and tricks of the trade. Every recipe is accompanied by invaluable consumer rich content as Nadia quizzes each of the guests about their ingredients in ‘What’s in Your Trolley?’

Full of mouth-watering recipes which anyone can cook and bursting with money saving hints and time saving tips Saturday Cookbook is the perfect way to start the weekend.
