13/09/12 New Dating Show 'Brendan's Love Boat' To Set Sail On Channel 4

The broadcaster is finalising a commission for daytime format Brendan’s Love Boat in a move that could signal the end of Coach Trip.

The 20 x 30-minute dating series will be made by All3Media owned Optomen Television.

Brendan’s Love Boat will air in either the 5pm or 5.30pm slot next year and will throw holidaymakers together on a cruise around the Mediterranean in a bid to help them find love.

Sheerin will be their chaperone, but C4 declined to reveal any further details about the format and whether it will involve an element of competition. Daytime commissioning editor David Sayer is overseeing the show.
