29/03/12 Best Ratings for Worst Cooks

Food Network USA has just posted its highest-rated, most-watched quarter in its history – and Optomen’s "Worst Cooks In America" is the cornerstone of that success.

Airing at the heart of the channel’s Sunday night schedule, the format's 3rd season has featured in the top 20 cable shows of the night week on week – as well as building audiences throughout the season. The first two seasons were runaway hits for the channel, and the third season has gone even further - bringing in larger audiences and delighting audiences across the country.

The third season, which follows Chefs Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay as they try to whip American’s most useless cooks into shape, has averaged an impressive 1.1 rating over its seven-week run.

As well as the ratings success, viewers are flocking to Twitter and Facebook to air their opinions on the hit show, making it a social media hit for the network as well as a ratings triumph.

Discussions on a fourth season of Worst Cooks are under way, with Optomen and Food Network keen to build on the brand's ever-growing popularity.
